Kilchoman Uniquely Islay Series – An T-Earrach 2022 9 Years Old 2013 Cask 730

An T-Earrach 2022 is the spring release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series, a 9 year old from 2013 matured in ex-Bourbon with Sauternes, drawn from cask 730. An outturn of 262 bottles for Germany. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.

Kilchoman malts its barley on site and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach rare in Scotch. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon and Sauternes cask, the wine wood adds a honeyed note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Sauternes honeyed apricot, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A spring single cask from the seasonal series.
