Description

An Samhradh 2021 is the summer release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series, an 8 year old from 2013 drawn from ex-Bourbon cask 726. An outturn of 251 bottles for Germany. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.

The distillery malts on site and bottles on the farm, keeping the whole process in one place. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over eight years, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 52.1%. Citrus and vanilla rise from the ex-Bourbon cask while peat phenols bring the smoke. A summer single cask from the seasonal series.
