Description

This Tequila Finish Single Cask is an 8 year old from 2013, finished in a tequila cask, cask 638. An outturn of 255 bottles. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon and finished in a tequila cask, the agave wood adds an earthy, herbal note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.1%. The tequila cask gives an earthy, vegetal edge while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to dried hay, smoke, dried fruit, an oily texture and a savoury note. A tequila-finished single cask.
