Kilchoman 20th Anniversary Cask Series 14 Years Old 2010

This 14 Years Old is part of Kilchoman's 20th Anniversary Cask Series, marking two decades since the distillery's 2005 founding. Vatted from five ex-Bourbon casks from 2010, it was an outturn of 1,120 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over fourteen years, the wood deepens the peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 51.2%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to fresh fruit, honey, malt sweetness, a medicinal edge, a nutty note and smoke. An anniversary bourbon vatting.
