Kilchoman Potstill Edition 2014 5 Years Old 2009

This Potstill Edition 2014 was a 5 year old Oloroso single cask from 2009, cask 379, released for the Austrian retailer Potstill. An outturn of 252 bottles. The Wills family's Kilchoman, founded in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in a single Oloroso cask, the sherry wood pulls the young peated spirit towards dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.3%. Dried fruit comes from the Oloroso, its melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. A young sherried single cask for Austria.
