Description

This Single Cask is a 5 year old from 2009, matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso, cask 262. An outturn of 218 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the island's only farm distillery.

The distillery grows and malts barley on site and bottles on the farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon and Oloroso cask, the sherry adds a dried-fruit layer.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.2%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso dried fruit, while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to smoke and tobacco. A young single cask.
