Description

The Uniquely Islay Series follows the Gaelic seasons, and An Samhradh marks the summer. This 2021 release is a 13 year old from 2008, drawn from ex-Bourbon cask 124, an outturn of 230 bottles for Germany. Anthony Wills founded Kilchoman in 2005; it is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over thirteen years, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.7%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. A summer single cask from the seasonal series.
