Description

La Maison du Whisky bottled this 14 year old 2007 Kilchoman from ex-Bourbon cask 61, an older single cask from the distillery's early years. An outturn of 240 bottles. Kilchoman, the island's only farm distillery, was founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over fourteen years, the wood deepens the peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.9%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and citrus, the peat phenols a layer of smoke. An older early-vintage single cask from a French specialist.
