Description

This Private Cask Release is a 9 year old from 2007, drawn from a single ex-Bourbon cask. Cask 152 gave 233 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery malts barley on site and bottles on the farm, the barley to bottle philosophy. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.5%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. A single cask from an early Kilchoman vintage.
