Description

La Maison du Whisky bottled this 3 year old 2007 Kilchoman from ex-Bourbon cask 244, a very young single cask from the distillery's early years. For France. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the island's only farm distillery.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the very young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.5%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while peat phenols drive the smoke, the youth keeping it raw and vivid. An early single cask from a French specialist.
