This Private Cask Release is a 16 year old from 2007, among the older single casks from Kilchoman's early years, matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask. Cask 127 gave 223 bottles. Founded by Anthony Wills in 2005 at Rockside Farm, Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery malts barley on site and bottles on the farm, the barley to bottle philosophy. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over sixteen years, the wood deepens the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.3%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to honey, smoke and vanilla. An older single cask from an early Kilchoman vintage.
