Kilchoman The Kilchoman Club – 6th Edition 10 Years Old 2007

This 10 Years Old was the 6th Edition for The Kilchoman Club, vatted from several ex-Bourbon casks from 2007. An outturn of 1,241 bottles. Kilchoman opened in 2005 as the first new Islay distillery in over a century, and is the island's only farm distillery.

The distillery grows and malts barley on site and bottles on the farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over ten years, the wood frames the peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.4%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, honey, an oily texture, smoke and vanilla. An early club bourbon vatting.
