Description

The 100% Islay 15th Edition is Kilchoman's own-barley single malt at nine years old, from 2016. The range is the distillery's founding philosophy, grown and made entirely on its Islay farm. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle in full. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, dried hay, a dry sandy edge, smoke and vanilla. The 2016 nine year old farm vintage.
