Description

The 100% Islay 14th Edition is Kilchoman's own-barley single malt at nine years old, from 2013, with Oloroso alongside the bourbon. The founding range of the distillery, grown and made entirely on its Islay farm. Kilchoman is Islay's only farm distillery, the first new distillery on the island in over 124 years when Anthony Wills founded it in 2005.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, a barley to bottle whisky. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso a savoury depth, while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to a vegetal note, smoke, citrus, malt sweetness, a medicinal edge and leather. The 2013 nine year old farm vintage.
