Description

The 100% Islay 6th Edition is Kilchoman's own-barley single malt, a six year old from 2010. The 100% Islay range is the distillery's founding idea, a whisky grown and made entirely on its Islay farm. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the island's only farm distillery.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle through and through. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, a medicinal edge and a sherried touch. The 2010 farm vintage.
