Description

This 5 year old was released for Kilchoman's European Tour 2026, a young ex-Bourbon farm malt taken on the road to showcase the distillery. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, was the first new distillery on Islay in over 124 years.

Malting, distilling and bottling all happen on the farm, the barley to bottle way. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at 50%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. The recorded notes run to a vegetal note, a leafy edge, a mossy earthiness, citrus, fresh fruit and tobacco. A young touring farm malt.
