Isle of Jura 21 Years Old

This 21 year old carries the New Map label, a vintage edition of Isle of Jura's older core bottling from around 2005. Jura is the only distillery on its remote Hebridean island, rebuilt in 1963 after the original lay in ruins from 1901.

Built for a light, Highland-style spirit, the distillery's clean make rewards long maturation. Matured in ex-Bourbon oak across twenty-one years, the wood deepens the honeyed malt.

Bottled at 40%. The ex-Bourbon cask supplies vanilla through vanillin, coconut through oak lactones, and a toffee note from maltol. Honeyed and mellow with a gentle maritime note, settled by two decades in oak. A vintage island twenty-one.
