Description

The Rum Cask Finish is one of Isle of Jura's Cask Edition releases, the island malt finished in rum wood for a softer, sweeter character. Jura is the lone distillery on its remote Hebridean island, rebuilt in 1963 to revive the local economy.

The distillery's light, clean spirit takes a rum finish gently. Finished in rum casks, the wood lends molasses sweetness and a tropical lift to the malt.

Bottled at 40%. The rum cask gives molasses and a soft banana note from its esters over the honeyed island core. The recorded notes run to fresh fruit, citrus, a fragrant lift, honey, dried fruit and chocolate. An easy, sweet cask-finish Jura.
