Yoichi 15 Years Old Cask 412187 is a single cask single malt from Nikka's Yoichi distillery on Hokkaido's Sea of Japan coast, released to the Japanese domestic market in a 500ml format at cask strength. At 15 years, this is among the longer-aged single cask Yoichi releases available domestically, and the extended time in Ex-Bourbon oak allows the spirit to develop considerably beyond the character of the 10 and 12 year expressions.

A single barrel over 15 years in Hokkaido's cool, humid maritime climate draws baked orchard fruit, vanilla and warm wood spice from the Ex-Bourbon cask while the coal-fired distillation's oily, smoky signature remains firmly in place. At 59%, the result is a full-intensity, undiluted Yoichi with the kind of layered peat smoke and dried fruit complexity that only the combination of extended ageing and an individual cask can produce.
