Windspiel Manufaktur works out of Germany's Vulkaneifel region, building its premium gins on an unusual and silky base spirit distilled from local potatoes. This pink grapefruit edition takes that house style and layers in the juicy flavour of sun-ripened pink grapefruit, a modern flavoured gin that keeps the brand's classic juniper character intact.
The nose is fresh pink grapefruit, juniper, citrus and fine herbal notes. The palate is fruity and balanced, intense grapefruit over a classic juniper base with refreshing citrus accents, closing long and fresh with the juniper still present. At an approachable 37.5% it makes an easy, summery G&T; pour it over a Mediterranean tonic with a slice of pink grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary.
