Windspiel Premium Dry Gin Navy Strength

    500 ml / 57%
    Navy Strength Gin

    $59

Big, warm and unapologetically spicy: classic juniper turns up the volume here, trailed by black pepper, earthy herbs and a flick of citrus. Distilled from potatoes grown in the volcanic Eifel, it keeps an improbable smoothness beneath all that 57% muscle. A navy-strength gin with the swagger to match.

Windspiel come from the Vulkaneifel, a quiet volcanic corner of Germany where the manufactory builds its gin on something unusual: a fine spirit distilled from Eifel-grown potatoes. That potato base is the secret to the house texture, lending a silky weight you do not expect from a gin this powerful. This Navy Strength edition pushes the strength to 57% in a nod to the old Royal Navy practice of carrying high-proof gin aboard ship, where flavour and durability mattered.

The extra alcohol concentrates everything. The nose is intense with juniper, fresh citrus and spicy herbs; the palate is full-bodied and earthy, juniper at its core with pepper, herbal depth and a quiet citrus lift. It finishes long and warm, the juniper lingering. Pour it over a robust tonic for a gin and tonic with real backbone, or build a Negroni that will not be drowned out.
