Description
Villa Sandi is one of the established names of Valdobbiadene, and this bottling carries the Rive designation, which marks wine from a single named hillside worked by hand under stricter yield limits. The fruit here comes from the San Pietro slopes at the top of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG, the heartland for Glera. It is a Millesimato from the 2025 harvest, vinified by the Charmat method so the second fermentation runs in tank rather than bottle. That approach keeps the primary orchard and floral aromatics intact and lends the fine, steady perlage typical of a good Superiore.
The wine shows a light straw colour with a persistent bead. The nose is fresh and precise, with green apple, pear and white peach over delicate blossom and citrus. On the palate it is elegant and balanced, the fruit held by measured acidity and carried to a lively, long finish. Finished Brut, it stays dry and food-friendly. Serve chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass. It works as an aperitif and alongside antipasti, seafood, light fish dishes and fresh starters.
