Description
Villa Sandi sources this Prosecco DOC from Glera grown on the moraine hills and alluvial soils of the Treviso province in Veneto. It is a tank-method wine, with gentle whole cluster pressing followed by a cool fermentation at 15 to 16 degrees that preserves the fine fruit and floral character. A second fermentation under controlled conditions builds the elegant, persistent perlage. The Brut dosage sits drier than the Extra Dry version, so the wine reads crisp and fresh with the fruit clearly defined.
The colour is light straw with a fine, lively perlage. The nose is fresh, with white orchard fruit, citrus and delicate floral nuances. The palate is dry and harmonious, with green apple, pear, lemon and white peach carried by lively acidity and a clean, animating finish. Serve well chilled at around 6 to 8 degrees. It works as an aperitif and alongside savoury snacks, steamed shellfish and light fish dishes.
