This is Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label supplied with a branded ice jacket, an insulating sleeve that keeps the bottle chilled away from a fridge or bucket. The wine inside is the house flagship, a Pinot Noir led cuvee with Chardonnay for freshness and Pinot Meunier for fullness. It is made by the traditional method, with a second fermentation in the bottle and long ageing on the lees that builds the biscuity, nutty complexity of the house style. The Brut dosage keeps the finish dry, balancing fruit against autolytic depth, while the ice jacket makes it easy to serve outdoors.

The colour is a radiant golden yellow with a lively perlage. The nose is finely nuanced, with white orchard fruit, ripe pear and apple, delicate citrus and a hint of brioche from the long maturation. The palate is balanced and structured, with fruit lifted by hints of vanilla, toasted almond and a subtle mineral edge, closing long and elegant. Serve well chilled at around 8 degrees, using the jacket to hold temperature. It works as an aperitif and alongside oysters, sushi and scallops.
