Description
A twelve year old single malt from the Tullamore D.E.W. range, bottled in 2012 for travel retail in a one litre format. It sits a step up from the ten year old, all malted barley, with a sherry finish giving it a richer accent than the house blends.
The malt matures in ex-bourbon casks before a finishing period in Oloroso sherry wood, which layers dried fruit, walnut and a nutty sweetness over the malt's fresh, fruity core. At 46% the texture holds more weight than the standard 40% bottlings, with chocolate and orchard fruit through the finish. A sherried take on the softer Tullamore style.
