Description
This twelve year old Tullamore D.E.W. was bottled for the German market and represents the aged tier of the Co. Offaly blend that carries Daniel E. Williams' initials. It marries pot still, malt and grain whiskey in the brand's gentle, triple distilled house style.
The whiskey matures in a mix of Spanish and American oak, the American casks giving vanilla and light toffee and the Spanish sherry wood adding dried fruit and a nutty warmth. Twelve years of aging softens the blend and deepens the orchard fruit, with grain keeping the texture easy through a mellow finish. Bottled at 40%.
