An official Glasgow Distillery single malt, a 4 year old Glasgow malt from 2018, drawn from cask 18/963, 18/964 and bottled at 56%. Only 882 bottles were released. The Glasgow Distillery Company took its 1770 name from the city's old Dundashill distillery, and revived Glasgow malt in 2012. The stills are named for the founders' families and for the MacDonald artist sisters.

The spirit was drawn off copper stills fed by Loch Katrine water, for a young, fruity spirit ready for active wood. A virgin oak cask gave bold vanilla, baking spice and coconut, fast on the young spirit. Active first fill wood pulls colour and flavour quickly into the young spirit. Its 1770 name recalls the old Glasgow Distillery at Dundashill, founded in 1770 and closed in 1902. Makar Gin came first, in 2014, and helped fund the return of whisky to the city. The first single malt casks were filled in 2015, the first whisky released in 2018.

At its natural 56% it is concentrated. Apple, citrus and a gentle malt lead, and the virgin oak gives vanilla, baking spice and a little coconut. It is fruity and bold, the spirit and oak well matched. It finishes fresh, fruity and full. This is a young Glasgow Lowland single malt.
