Schönbrunn Sisi Frizzante Rosé

Vienna Spirits produces the Schönbrunn Sisi range under imperial branding tied to Schönbrunn Palace, and this rosé Frizzante is its lightly sparkling pink wine. Made from Austrian red grapes given a short skin maceration to preserve fruit colour and aroma, the wine is then fermented in stainless steel and lightly carbonated, a tank based approach that keeps it youthful and fresh. The style is deliberately easy and aimed at warm weather drinking.

The colour is a delicate rosé with a lively perlage. The nose and palate show a savoury fruit character, with clear raspberry and strawberry alongside lemon and a soft floral note. The fine bead gives an invigorating mouthfeel, the fruit finishing fresh and clean. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a white wine glass.
