Fresh juniper meets cool mint and pine resin, with Muscat grape lending a floral, almost vinous sweetness and cardamom a warm spine. Distilled in small batches at Poli, a Veneto family distillery founded in 1898, it is powerful at 46% yet remarkably smooth. Long, lightly resinous and bracingly fresh.

Description
The Poli distillery has stood in Schiavon, in the Veneto, since GioBatto Poli founded it in 1898; it is now run by four Poli siblings. Marconi 46 is their small-batch gin, and its character comes from an unusual botanical roster: alongside classic juniper and coriander sit Muscat grapes, mountain pine, Swiss stone pine, mint and cardamom, a distinctly Alpine-Mediterranean cast.
The nose is fresh with juniper, mint and pine resin over fine spice; the palate is intense and harmonious, Mediterranean herbs and spicy cardamom meeting cool mint and the floral lift of Muscat grape. The finish is long, faintly resinous and refreshingly dry. Pour into a gin and tonic with a sprig of fresh mint, or build it into a Negroni.
