Mortlach Midnight Dusk

This official bottling comes from Mortlach itself. Mortlach is the Speyside outlier known as the Beast of Dufftown, its worm tubs and 2.81 distillation building a dense, sulphury, meaty spirit.

Ex-Bourbon maturation framed the heavy, sulphury make, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla over the savoury core as oxidation slowly began.

At 57.5% it shows citrus, chocolate, cooked fruit, fresh oak, a nutty depth and leather, undiluted. The savoury Dufftown style.
