Mortlach 24 Years Old 1990 Cask #6075 (Signatory Vintage)

Signatory Vintage, the Edinburgh independent founded in 1988, bottles this 24 Year Old: a 1990 vintage, cask 6075, an outturn of 530 bottles. The first legal distillery in Dufftown, Mortlach builds its meaty weight through low-copper worm tubs and the 2.81 distillation, and has anchored Johnnie Walker for a century.

By twenty-four years Mortlach's weighty make had turned dense and leathery in the sherry, oxidation drawing out fig, date, walnut and dark chocolate.

At 51.6% it shows fig, date, leather and dark chocolate over the meaty Mortlach body, undiluted. Big, savoury and full-bodied.
