Mackillop's Choice, an independent bottler, selected this 23 Year Old, a 1989 vintage, cask 3926. Mortlach's heavy, savoury style comes from worm-tub condensing and a part-triple distillation through the Wee Witchie, unchanged since 1897.

Across twenty-three years the Oloroso and a slow angel's share concentrated the robust Mortlach spirit into stewed dried fruit, chocolate and a leathery depth.

At 54.9% it shows citrus, undiluted. The savoury Dufftown style.
