Description

Bottled by the distillery, this 19 Year Old is an official Mortlach. Mortlach is the Speyside outlier known as the Beast of Dufftown, its worm tubs and 2.81 distillation building a dense, sulphury, meaty spirit.

Across nineteen years the oak's ellagitannins added structure while oxidation deepened the meaty spirit into cooked fruit and leather.

At 55.8% it shows citrus, honey and an oak-framed depth on Mortlach's muscular frame, undiluted. A meaty, muscular Mortlach.
