Description

Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, bottlers of the Carn Mor Strictly Limited range, released this 14 Year Old: a 2008 vintage, an outturn of 1,275 bottles. Mortlach is Speyside's great meaty malt, its 1823 Dufftown stillhouse using worm tubs and a 2.81 distillation that defies the region's lighter norm.

Fourteen years in a Moscatel cask gave the bold, full-bodied make grapey, honeyed sweetness and a floral lift.

At 47.5% it shows honey, undiluted. Big, savoury and full-bodied.
