Mortlach 13 Years Old 2007

Bottled by the distillery, this 13 Year Old is an official Mortlach. It draws on a 2007 vintage. Mortlach, owned by John Walker & Sons from 1923, makes a dense, sulphury Speyside through worm tubs and its singular 2.81-times distillation.

Thirteen years in ex-Bourbon let oak meet weight, vanilla and honey from lignin and wood sugars settling over the bold, full-bodied make.

At 55.9% it shows fresh fruit, citrus, fresh oak, leather and an oily texture, undiluted. A meaty, muscular Mortlach.
