Description
Cask #7676 sits alongside its siblings in McConnell's Old Cromac Collection, the revived Belfast label's home for long aged single casks. This 20 Years Old Irish single malt was bottled at its natural strength of 48% for the European market, a run of 310 bottles.
Ex-bourbon maturation over twenty years laid down honey, baked apple and soft vanilla oak before the whiskey moved into a Port cask for its finishing period, picking up raisin, red berry and a gentle winey grip. Stock of this age reaches back to the leanest years of Irish whiskey, before the modern revival filled the island with stills, and each cask in the collection is bottled singly to keep that scarce character intact.
