Longmorn 46 Years Old 1964 Cask #5614 (Gordon & MacPhail)

Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, held some of the deepest Longmorn stocks of any bottler. From the Reserve range, this 46 Year Old is a 1964 vintage Oloroso single cask, an outturn of 378 bottles at cask strength.

Forty-six years in Oloroso built deep sherried maturity, the cask's melanoidins giving dried fruit and its tannins a leathery, nutty grip.

At 47.7% it shows chocolate, dried fruit, old wood, a sherried depth and tobacco, undiluted. A 1964 Reserve single cask.
