Whisky-Doris, the German house run by Doris Wuddel, bottles this 23 Year Old, a 1998 vintage Longmorn in ex-Bourbon, an outturn of 123 bottles.
Twenty-three years in ex-Bourbon rounded the rich Speyside spirit, the low-tannin wood lending vanilla without masking the fruit and a nutty depth.
At 55.7% it shows honey, a malty note, nuts and vanilla over Longmorn's mature fruit, undiluted. A Whisky-Doris 23.
