Description

Gordon & MacPhail of Elgin, founded 1895, long held some of the deepest Longmorn reserves. The Celtic Series dressed rare old casks in Book of Kells artwork; this 46 Year Old is a 1964 vintage from Oloroso cask 1539 at cask strength.

Forty-six years in Oloroso wrapped the rich spirit in deep sherry, the cask's melanoidins giving date and raisin and its tannins a nutty grip.

At 53% it shows profound sherried dried fruit over Longmorn's worn richness, undiluted. A 1964 Celtic Series.
