The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, founded at The Vaults in Leith in 1983, codes its bottlings rather than naming distilleries, 7 being Longmorn. This rare 35 Year Old is a 1968 vintage, titled Ginger chocolate and prunes, mature Longmorn at cask strength.

Thirty-five years in ex-Bourbon matured the rich spirit deeply, the low-tannin American oak lending vanilla through lignin breakdown while the years built depth.

At 51.7% it shows deep mature fruit and spice over Longmorn's worn richness, undiluted. A 1968 Society 7.25.
