Gordon & MacPhail, founded in Elgin in 1895, kept some of the deepest Longmorn stocks anywhere. This Connoisseurs Choice 25 Year Old is a 1957 vintage Longmorn bottled in 1982, from the range that made rare malts available to drinkers.

Twenty-five years in ex-Bourbon matured the rich Speyside spirit, the low-tannin wood lending vanilla without masking the fruit.

At 40% it shows soft orchard fruit and honey over a gentle maturity. A 1957 Connoisseurs Choice.
