Gordon & MacPhail, founded in Elgin in 1895, kept some of the deepest Longmorn stocks anywhere. This Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength 19 Year Old is a 1999 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask 60471, an outturn of 244 bottles at a powerful strength.

Nineteen years in ex-Bourbon shaped the young rich spirit, the American oak contributing vanilla and a gentle coconut from its lactones, full strength preserving the fruit.

At 60.3% it shows chocolate, fresh fruit, a coal-gas mineral edge, a sherried note and vanilla, undiluted. A 1999 Connoisseurs Choice.
