Description
From the Chivas Brothers Cask Strength Edition, drawn from the owner's own stocks, this 17 Year Old is a 1987 vintage Longmorn at full strength. Spirit from the distillery's blending-house prime.
Seventeen years in ex-Bourbon matured the weighty make, the low-tannin wood lending vanilla without masking the fruit, the cask strength keeping the rich fruit that water would soften.
At 55.1% it shows the full, undiluted weight of Longmorn, orchard and stone fruit over vanilla and honey. A 1987 cask strength.
