Littlemill 25 Years Old 1988 (Liquid Sun)

Liquid Sun bottles single casks with illustrated labels. This 25 year old Littlemill was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2014. Littlemill can never be made again, so each cask emptied is one fewer forever.

An ex-Bourbon cask and twenty-five years shape the delicate Lowland spirit.

Bottled at cask strength, 49.3%, vanilla and a soft oak frame from the ex-Bourbon. On the palate, a cooked-vegetable note. The bourbon cask's lactones read as coconut and the lignin vanillin as vanilla, gentle on a light Lowland spirit. At this age the angel's share has done its quiet work: in humid Scottish warehouses alcohol leaves faster than water, easing the strength and concentrating the flavour.
