Littlemill 24 Years Old 1990 No. 28 (Maltbarn)

Maltbarn is a German independent known for its understated single-cask labels. This bottling is a 24 year old Littlemill, laid down in 1990 and drawn off in 2014. With the distillery demolished and no new spirit possible, every bottle is drawn from a pool that only shrinks.

Twenty-four years in ex-Bourbon frame Littlemill's buttery Lowland fruit.

At 50.6%, undiluted, soft vanilla and oak come from the ex-Bourbon. The Lowland softness shows, floral and lightly fruity. The oak's vanillin and wood sugars lend vanilla and light toffee, the spirit's own esters bringing the fruit.
