Littlemill 22 Years Old 1992 Cask #1902 (Jack Wiebers Whisky World)

Jack Wiebers Whisky World is a German independent with a long catalogue of single casks. The cask was filled in 1992 and bottled in 2014, a 22 year old Littlemill, from cask 1902, part of the Old Passenger Ships series. A lost distillery leaves only what was already laid down, and those reserves grow thinner each year.

Twenty-two years in a refill bourbon cask keep Littlemill's soft orchard-fruit spirit bright.

At 49.1%, undiluted, vanilla and a gentle oak sweetness from the bourbon cask. A fragrant, fruity Littlemill, honeyed and silky. American oak is low in tannin, so the cask works gently, hemicellulose caramelising to light toffee and lignin yielding vanilla.
