Littlemill 21 Years Old 1991 Cask #LD 9822 (Douglas of Drumlanrig)

Douglas of Drumlanrig, a Laing family label, bottles individual casks. Filled in 1991 and bottled in 2013, the whisky is a 21 year old Littlemill, from cask LD 9822. So few bottles and no possibility of more place this among the scarcest survivors of the Lowland's lost distilleries.

Matured in ex-Bourbon, twenty-one years carry the soft, floral Littlemill make.

Bottled undiluted at 50%, the American oak frames the fruit with vanilla. Honey, vanilla and a buttery Lowland softness carry it. Furfural from the toasted oak lends a faint almond note, lignin the vanilla, the low tannins a soft frame.
