Littlemill 18 Years Old 1991 Cask #LD 6202 (Douglas of Drumlanrig)

Douglas of Drumlanrig is a single-cask label in the Hunter Laing stable. Distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2010, this is an 18 year old Littlemill, from cask LD 6202. These are the last of Littlemill, a closed distillery's stock dwindling toward nothing.

From an ex-Bourbon cask, eighteen years draw out Littlemill's light, buttery Lowland spirit.

Bottled at 46%, the American oak adds vanilla over the orchard fruit. A fragrant, fruity Littlemill, honeyed and silky. Wood sugars from the caramelised hemicellulose give a light toffee, while lignin yields the vanillin behind the vanilla.
