Lagg Distillery Exclusive Handfilled 4 Years Old 2020

This is a hand-filled distillery exclusive from Lagg, the young peated Isle of Arran distillery, a 4 year old single cask distilled in 2020 and filled at the distillery in 2024. Drawn from ex-Bourbon cask LG20/2186. Lagg opened in 2019 as the peated sister to Lochranza, reviving the island's peated tradition.

The distillery peats its barley to roughly 50ppm for a heavy smoke. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask and bottled at full strength, four years give a raw, powerful young smoke.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 61.1%. Guaiacol and phenols drive the young peat smoke, the ex-Bourbon giving vanilla, the high strength lifting both. A powerful hand-filled single cask Lagg.
