Description
This Vintage release is a 7 year old from 2008, an early dated-vintage bottling of Kilchoman matured in ex-Bourbon. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the island's only farm distillery.
Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood frames the young peated spirit.
Bottled at 46%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. The recorded notes run to chocolate and smoke. An early dated-vintage farm malt.
